A broken accessibility path on an accessibility company’s site is a trust killer. So this site is built to be exemplary — and to prove it by bending to you, not the other way around.
How this site is built for you
The Kind Bar
The controls at the top of every page — text size, motion, and contrast — actually change the page and remember your choice. Accessibility here is a feature you use, not a claim we make.
Standard we hold
We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a floor, with AAA colour contrast on text wherever we can, verified in light, dark, and high-contrast modes at build time.
Keyboard & focus
Every control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a clear, celebrated focus ring. Landmarks, one H1 per page, and honest heading order help screen-reader navigation.
Motion
Nothing autoplays and nothing flashes. We honour your operating system’s reduced-motion setting, and the Motion control lets you turn motion off on this site directly. The empathy experiences are opt-in and stop instantly with a button or the Escape key.
Screen readers
Meaningful images have text alternatives; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive tech. Every interactive control has a screen-reader-friendly name.
Colour & dark mode
The site respects your light or dark preference automatically, and a high-contrast mode is available in the Kind Bar and honours prefers-contrast.
Zoom & reflow
Content reflows without loss down to a 320px width and up to 200% browser zoom — on top of the Kind Bar’s own text-size steps.
Privacy by construction
Fonts are self-hosted, there is no advertising, and nothing you do here is sold, shared, or used to build a profile. One analytics tag counts page views with every storage permission that could identify or follow you denied — no cookie, no identifier, nothing that can follow you off this site. Known limitations
The opt-in “feel it” experiences use sound and movement on purpose to build empathy; each carries a content warning and stops instantly on the Escape key. Any vibration is off unless you tick the box, and the sensory-overload simulation also ends itself after a few seconds. If any part of this site is hard to use with your assistive technology, that is a bug to us — please tell us and we will fix it.
