AuDHD · self-regulation

One calm place for how the week actually felt.

Meet AuDHD Loop.

AuDHD Loop is a private self-regulation journal for adults — one calm place to track stims, sensory load, energy, and task momentum. It stores your journal on device, and it is built around one promise: log stims without shame.

Free to use. Any optional upgrade is shown in the App Store before purchase.

What it does

A journal for stims, sensory events, energy and task momentum — it records what you tell it, and nothing else.

How it works

Log stims and replacement strategies without shame. Capture sensory events before the details disappear. Batch tasks by energy instead of forcing a generic to-do list. Review patterns across the week. A journal records what you choose to write — it does not sense, detect, or monitor anything, and energy batching reorganises your list by your own read of your energy; it doesn’t measure it.

Who it’s for

For AuDHD adults — people who are both autistic and ADHD — and any adult who wants a private, shame-free record of their own self-regulation. What you share from it, and with whom, is entirely your choice.

Accessibility built in

Your journal is stored on device. Nothing here grades, streaks, or nags — reviewing the week is something you do, not something done to you.

Stims, without shame

Log stims without shame.

Stims are valid self-regulation. AuDHD Loop is built around one line from its own App Store listing: “log stims and replacement strategies without shame” — noticing patterns is not the same as policing yourself. The replacement strategies you log sit in your journal on your own terms: you decide which belong there and why — perhaps because a particular stim hurts your hands or your budget, never because someone else finds it inconvenient.

You will find no compliance framing on this page, no target behaviour, no gold star for a quiet week. A journal records; it does not correct. More on the affirming stance: what stimming is.

What the week looks like inside

Five things it does. Five honest boundaries.

Log stims

…and replacement strategies — without shame. The app records what you write; it senses nothing.

Capture sensory events

A quick capture before the details disappear — what happened, where the load came from, what helped.

Batch tasks by energy

Instead of forcing a generic to-do list, group tasks by your own read of your energy. The app reorganises; it does not measure energy.

Review the week

Patterns you logged, laid out calmly — reviewing is something you do, not something done to you.

Pro, exactly as named

Deeper insights, body-doubling, custom strategies, and weekly digest export — no invented mechanics. Prices live in the App Store.

On device

AuDHD Loop stores your journal on device. What you share from it, and with whom, is entirely your choice.

For a dedicated body-doubling companion built around starting tasks, see Sidle — Sidle helps you start the task now; Loop helps you understand the week.

A day with AuDHD Loop

A day in the loop.

Tuesday, open-plan office

The aircon pitch shifted an hour ago and the load has been climbing since. A few taps in the app: what happened, how it felt, what helped. Captured before the details blur.

Wednesday, 4pm

Energy read: low. The list re-batches — reply to Sam and fold laundry move up; the tax form waits for a higher-energy window, first field only.

Friday review

The week laid out shows the pattern was Tuesdays all along — the meeting-heavy day with no recovery gap. That’s information you chose to collect, telling you something you can actually use.

Privacy & the boundary

A journal, and only a journal.

AuDHD Loop stores your journal on device, and its App Store privacy label states that the developer does not collect any data from this app — no tracking, nothing watching. If you use Pro’s weekly digest export, it is a self-report summary you choose to share — with a therapist, a partner, no one.

AuDHD Loop is “a personal wellness and journaling tool, not a diagnostic device, treatment plan, or medical record.” That sentence is from the app’s own listing, and it stays load-bearing here: nothing in Loop diagnoses, treats, or monitors anything.

Honest limits

What AuDHD Loop is not.

AuDHD Loop is “a personal wellness and journaling tool, not a diagnostic device, treatment plan, or medical record.” It does not diagnose autism or ADHD, it senses and monitors nothing, and the stance is plain: stims are logged without shame.

Questions, answered honestly

Before you download AuDHD Loop

What is AuDHD?
The community’s word for being both autistic and ADHD — two co-occurring diagnoses, one lived experience. It is not itself a diagnosis. Our full explainer: what is AuDHD?
Does it monitor me?
No. It records what you choose to write, and nothing else — it does not sense, detect, or monitor anything, and its App Store privacy label states that the developer does not collect any data from this app.
Does it try to reduce or stop stimming?
That is not what it is for. Stims are valid self-regulation, and the app is built to log stims and replacement strategies without shame. The replacement strategies you log sit in your journal for your own reasons, on your own terms.
Who is it for?
Adults. AuDHD Loop is a private self-regulation journal for adults; it is not positioned for children or teens.
Where does my journal live?
On your device. AuDHD Loop stores your journal on device.
Can I share it with my therapist?
If you want to: Pro’s weekly digest export produces a self-report summary you can choose to bring to a session. It is your record of your week — not a clinical record, and not an assessment.
Is it a diagnostic or medical tool?
No. AuDHD Loop is a personal wellness and journaling tool, not a diagnostic device, treatment plan, or medical record.
