What this website knows about you
Short version: page counts with every storage permission that could identify or follow you denied, no cookies, no advertising, no profile. The long version is below, including the part where we tell you how to switch it off.
This page covers kindabilities.com, the website. Each app has its own policy, because the apps genuinely differ — some make no network calls at all — and one blanket claim across seven apps would be untrue about most of them. Those are linked at the bottom.
Analytics on this website
This site loads Google Tag Manager, which runs one Google Analytics tag that counts page views. It is configured to deny every storage permission — analytics, advertising, ad-personalisation, ad-user-data and personalisation — before the tag loads. In practice that means:
- No cookies and no identifiers are written to your device by this site. There is nothing for you to accept or reject, which is why you were not shown a cookie banner.
- No advertising, no remarketing, no audience building. Advertising storage is denied on every page before the tag loads, and ad-data redaction is on, so no advertising audience can be built from these page views.
- No profile of you. Because no identifier persists, we cannot recognise you between visits, and neither we nor Google build a cross-site profile from your visit here.
- What is sent is a page address, the referring page, general device and browser information, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google discards the IP address rather than storing it in the reports we see.
What we do with it: see which guides people actually read, so we write more of what helps and less of what doesn’t. Search terms are not part of this — those come from Google Search Console, which reports on our own pages in aggregate and sets nothing on your device. Nothing on this website asks you to create an account, and we have no way to link a page view to a person.
What this website never does
- We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not engage in cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are used in California’s privacy law.
- We run no advertising, no social pixels, no session recording, no heatmaps, and no fingerprinting. The browser’s Topics advertising interest API is switched off for this site by a permissions policy header.
- We do not ask for, and have no way to receive, health, diagnostic, or disability information through this website.

If you email robin@kindabilities.com we keep the message so a person can answer it, and we use it for nothing else.
What is stored on your device
The analytics tag stores nothing. One thing does: the Kind Bar. When you change text size, motion or contrast, that choice is saved in this browser under ka.text, ka.motion and ka.contrast so the site still looks the way you set it on the next page and the next visit. It never leaves your browser, it is not an identifier, and we cannot read it. Clearing site data in your browser removes it, and the controls go back to following your operating system’s settings.
Your choices
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, it changes nothing here — the storage those signals are about is already denied for everyone. If you would rather block the tag outright, any content blocker will do it, and every page will work exactly the same: nothing on this site depends on analytics loading.
