How it works
Type the baseline you have and GoalDraft drafts a goal with a timeframe, condition, observable behaviour and a criterion in your baseline’s unit. Log through the day with the collector that fits — trials, task analysis, interval, incident, timer, latency, frequency or score — from a Lock Screen widget, offline, backdating whenever you need. When reports come due, generate notes for one student or the whole caseload, then export a meeting PDF and a CSV.
Who it’s for
For special education teachers, SLPs, OTs and anyone else who writes IEP goals and then has to prove what happened. This is the one app here where the professional, not the student, is the user — and the only one priced as a professional tool.
Accessibility built in
Built to be used one-handed while standing at a table: large tap targets, Dynamic Type, VoiceOver labels, and a Lock Screen widget so logging never costs you the moment. It works offline, and nothing is lost if you close it mid-tally.
The two things that go wrong

Read the reviews under the data-tracking apps already on your phone and the same two complaints keep surfacing. The export arrives as an empty spreadsheet, or dumps a duration as “3h 4m 30s” in a column no chart will accept. And the data disappears — “export immediately or lose it”, an update that took weeks of trials with it.
GoalDraft answers both structurally, not with a promise. Every point is saved as you tap it and synced to your own iCloud, so there is no export-or-lose-it moment and no crash that wipes a term. CSV export of every data point is free and always available. And Pro produces the meeting PDF — one page per goal, the chart with its aimline, the on-track verdict, and the recent data underneath it. That PDF is the point. It is what you put in front of the team on a Thursday morning.

Goals that survive a rubric
Type the baseline you actually have. The draft comes back with a timeframe, a condition, an observable behaviour and a criterion whose unit matches that baseline — and a check that rejects the default 80% nobody individualised.
86 measurable starters
A goal bank spanning reading, writing, maths, communication, social, motor and transition, including phoneme-level articulation and task-analysis chains. Every starter carries a unit some collector can actually hold.
Eight collectors
Trials with a real denominator, task analysis, interval sampling, incident logging with antecedent and setting, timers, latency, frequency, probe scores — each with Independent, Verbal, Visual and Physical prompt levels.

Notes built from the data
A progress note opens with the status you chose, cites the median of the last three against the baseline, compares it to the criterion, and names the measurement method. Choose Insufficient and it makes you say what you’ll change.

Notes for the caseload
One screen, one pass. Each note carries the median, the criterion comparison and the method, so a parent reading it in October can tell what actually happened.
The PDF goes in the folder
One page per goal, chart and aimline and verdict. You are not making anything presentable at 6pm on Sunday, because it already is.
Privacy, structurally
There is no field for a student’s name.
Not hidden, not optional, not encrypted — absent. The data model has no real-name field, so you work in nicknames or initials and there is nothing for us to lose. GoalDraft needs no account. It holds zero student records on its servers: your caseload lives on your device and syncs only to your own private iCloud.
When a draft is generated, the text goes out stripped, is processed and discarded, and the nickname is put back on your device. Deadline alerts are worded without nicknames unless you turn that on yourself. And the exit door is always unlocked: RFC-4180 CSV for the whole caseload or one student, any time you want to hand it to a district system or walk away.
GoalDraft uses AI to draft goals, notes and present levels. AI can make mistakes — every draft is yours to read, correct and sign. It writes a starting point, not a decision.
Honest limits
What GoalDraft is not.
A documentation tool, not a system of record. GoalDraft does not guarantee compliance, does not give legal advice, and does not replace your district’s software. It has no iPad layout yet and no shared collection with a para or co-teacher yet. Its drafts are written by AI — AI can make mistakes, and every draft is yours to read, correct and sign.

Who is GoalDraft for?
The person writing the paperwork: special education teachers, SLPs, OTs and anyone else carrying a caseload of goals and the documentation that follows them. It is the one app we make where the professional, not the student, is the user.
Do student names go anywhere?
They can’t. There is no real-name field in the app’s data model — you work in nicknames or initials. There is no account, and no student records sit on our servers; your caseload syncs only to your own private iCloud.
Does it write the IEP for me?
No, and it shouldn’t. It drafts a goal with a real structure — timeframe, condition, observable behaviour, and a criterion whose unit matches your baseline — and it drafts notes from the data points you logged. You read, correct and sign every one. AI can make mistakes.
How does a progress note get written?
From the data, not from a prompt. Pick the status, and the note cites the median of your last three points against the baseline, compares it to the goal criterion, and names the measurement method you used. If you mark a goal Insufficient, it requires you to state the instructional change.
What can I actually hand to a team?
A meeting-ready PDF — one page per goal with the chart, the aimline, the on-track verdict and the recent data — which is a Pro feature. CSV export of every data point is free and always available, so your data is never locked in.
Can a paraprofessional or co-teacher log data with me?
Not yet. Shared collection is the most-asked-for thing we don’t have; today GoalDraft is one professional’s caseload on one phone. We would rather say that plainly than imply it.
Does it work on iPad?
Not yet — GoalDraft is an iPhone app today. It runs on an iPad in iPhone compatibility mode, but there is no iPad layout.
Will it work without signal?
Logging does. Tapping data, timers, intervals and task-analysis steps all work offline, and a Lock Screen widget puts logging one tap away. Drafting a goal or note needs a connection, because that is where the drafting happens.
