Hold the Floor support

Hold the Floor is an app for rehearsing real conversations out loud, at your own pace, with an AI practice partner. It is a practice tool. It isn't therapy and doesn't diagnose or treat anything.

People talking together around a table.

Hold the Floor is made by KindAbilities.

Common questions

Why doesn't my partner reply when I stop talking?

It waits, so a pause never cuts you off. Tap Done, say “Done”, or use your switch when you've finished. If you want it to send by itself, open Settings, then Practice, then Send after a silence.

Is my voice recorded?

Your voice turns into words on your phone. Your audio is never sent. Short recordings stay on your phone only for the time you choose in Settings, then Privacy.

What works without the internet?

Gentle scenes, Clarity, your cue cards and saved lines. Live rehearsals need a connection.

How do I cancel Pro?

Pro is billed by Apple. In the app, open Settings, then Your plan, then Cancel or change plan. You can also open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app doesn't cancel it.

How do I delete my data?

In the app, open Settings, then Privacy, then Delete my data. It deletes what is on your phone and everything we hold for your phone on our server. It doesn't cancel an Apple subscription.

I have a code from my college or employer

In the app, open Settings, then Have a code. If your organisation would like codes, write to Robin.

A partner reply was wrong or upsetting

In a rehearsal, you can report that line. Only the partner's line is sent, never your words. You can also write to Robin.

If you need support right now

Hold the Floor is not a crisis service. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line where you live.
